&#160;Is the song clip missing from Beta 3.5? &#160;I saw a text clip but I could not do anything with it. &#160;I posted this here since there is not a 3.5 beta forum yet.

&#160;Hello all,

Anyone want to take a crack at plug ins for firefox or chrome as the web browser? &#160;Our house of prayer has a 64 bit Windows 7 computer that will not update for flash player in SM simplified Internet Explorer web browser. &#160;Olie and I have communicated and there does not seem to be a fix at this time. &#160;I also like firefox and chrome better anyway.

Two things: Up until version 3.2 I have been able to use SM as a portable program. &#160;The only complication is if the usb device is assigned a different letter sometimes a media file is not located. &#160;Now version 3.3 will not play a video or audio file. &#160;I have the event log from trying it if that will help.

Is it possible to make SM completely portable? &#160;We have multiple worship leaders at our house of prayer that would need to set up a watch at home and bring it to execute at the house of prayer. &#160;What is the possibility of offering a relative path structure option for file location? &#160;If a 'Screen Monkey Data' file is added to the program file and all xml files for shows (including the xml for the last show opened), songs, etc are routed there would that work?

Hello,

Would it be possible to add a feature to the Ticker plugin that the text would not scroll but instead be positioned absolutely into some coordinates in the screen?

We would use it to display peoples names below them in conjunction with a HD video mixer to print a nice title texts over the screen.

Thanks,

Thanks Ollie for a great product.

Hi Oliver

Is there any chance to have more layers. I would like have 2 more to allow me to have the 3 layers on a center screen, then have 2 more layers for for a screen on each side of the center. The mirror function as discussed in another thread would also be useful. Have you any idea when 3.4 will be released, I have requested to do some beta testing&#160;before.

&#160;We will have several people using the same computer and SM for presentations. &#160;One can save Main Window layouts in the View Menu. &#160;This is extremely handy. &#160;Could a field be added to the 'Customize' menu for the View Menu that allows you to lock a little lock or mark a box so that a view cannot be changed unless one comes to the Customize menu and 'unlocks' that view profile? &#160;A frustration with our crew is that people inadvertently close a layer of a Live Monitor, for instance, and then the next user has to figure out what is missing and fix it. &#160;Does this make sense?

Would it be possible to create a virtual DJ plugin or other DJ software plugin so that the video output can be sent through screen monkey? I know it already has some basic VJ controls but I love the winamp plugin and the slideshow options and would love to merge all of them together plus the music videos together.

Thanks

&#160;

so Oli i finally downloaded myself a copy.&#160; Looks like i'll be finding some uses for this.

I have a project coming up using a low res video wall.&#160; It takes a portion of the desktop and plays it.&#160; Its a very picky video wall and it must have the display running at 1024x768.&#160; The live portion of the screen must start at the very top of the screen but halfway accross (god knows why!)

The screen size is variable but is 96 x 64 at its smallest.&#160; Any chance that instead of primary 50% there could be an option for primary custom where you could place the screen in a fixed postion on the desktop?

If you could have that ready for tomrrow as i have to test the wall again!&#160; Seriously though if you could do this i might even buy you lunch at the next plasa.

&#160;

Cheers

My name is Leonardo Puerta, and I'm the multimedia controller of my church. I really love Screen Monkey, especially because it's way more affordable than many of the worship software normally known and recognized. Yesterday I had a session with it, writing some of the songs we sing in our services, and I was astonished when I discovered the 'sequence' feature. It's amazing for a software to do that! None of the software I've tested or used has that feature, and it's very confortable to me.

<p style='text-align: justify;'><span style='font-size: smaller;'><span style='font-family: Tahoma;'>I must say, however, that one of the features I need the most is the Bible. I know you have a plugin that connects to the ESV online, but I'd like to present this request to do a plugin that can open Bibles stored in the hard drive. I don't know if, maybe, this can require downloading an additional *.xml file where the Bible verses be stored, or maybe there's a need to create one, but I'd like to have in this marvelous program a way to introduce verses that are stored in Bibles in the hard drive, especially because we don't have —still— internet connection in our church, and I need to project verses in Spanish.

<p style='text-align: justify;'><span style='font-size: smaller;'><span style='font-family: Tahoma;'>God bless you all.

I have emailed this directly to you but will add it to the forum for all to read, incase others can add to what I have said:

The ONLY thing I see missing for MY daily application of this type of sotware, is that when setting the layers..

If I were able to actually type in the actual pixel sizes and locations of the windows, it would be PERFECT for the LED screens I operate regularly in live shows.

This is because the system we use, the LED screen is a clone of the main desktop, but the LED screen outputs a section of the desktop screen starting from X and Y pixel, displaying A and B pixels depending on the screen size. Effectively, the LED screen is a small section of a standard DVI screen.

EG currently I'm opperating&#160;3 4x3 meter screens with 64 horizontaly and 64 pixels vertically.

Giving me a screen of 256 x 192. If I were able to type this number directly into your software, and then the X and Y location of the first pixel for each layer... My quality life would be very much richer indeed!

I also see this as a benefit as for some videos, when you rip it. the aspect ratio comes out wrong, or some software letterboxes above and below on&#160; a 16x9 and therefor turning it into a letterboxed 4x3, when you want fullscreen 16x9. With a system where I could physcally type in the pixels, doing the maths to set a layer, on site, would be extremely easy in the case that multiple clients arrive with videos of multiple formats, ratios etc, I could set the one of the 3 layers to accept letterboxed, eliminating the letterbox, another at true 16x9 and one for 4x3 etc then run the specific video in a specific layer.. thus iliminating all ratio problems

Would it be possible to these ideas integrated into the software, as an option to use rather than the %'age system??

Again, Many thanks.

I know that I am all over the forum today but worship leaders met today to consider SM as our main tool for presentation. &#160;Another idea offered by one of our worship leaders: &#160;When one inserts a video or image a thumbnail appears on the dashboard. &#160;Great feature! &#160;When a song is a 'clip' on the dashboard could at least the first few words of the title appear transposed over the music notes in the box. &#160;The prevents having to hunt with the mouse on every song clip to see if it is the song needed. &#160;(We are a spontaneous bunch.)

&#160;What would it take to have a control module for a song that comes up when a song is selected. &#160;Some lyric projection programs allow you to click on a verse or chorus or bridge and the presentation immediately changes to that verse, chorus or bridge. &#160;This would allow for more spontaneity in worship situations. &#160;Let me offer some suggestion: When a song is selected so that it is an active part of the presentation a control module window pops up. &#160;Listed is a preview of each of the parts of the song (maybe even the first line in a list). &#160;When the presenter clicks on the text of a part of the song the presentation changes. &#160;More ideas? &#160;I am willing to test anything. &#160;I am not a writer or I would help with code.<img alt='' src='http://www.screenmonkey.co.uk/DNN/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/FCKeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/wink_smile.gif'

Hi,

I've just recently finished doing video for a production of Return from the Forbidden Planet, as part of the videos we had flash animations that performed an action on a keypress, as the person who was producing the flash animations couldn't work out how to use the Actionscript Key mappings within Screen Monkey (partly due to lack of time) I used the utility cmdow:

and the following batfile set to execute from windows when I pressed F10 to make the flash window active:

cmdow.exe MacromediaFlashPlayerActiveX /ACT

Is there any possibility of adding such a feature to screenmonkey itself to avoid these seperate steps? It was one extra thing I had to remember when playing those particular clips Or perhaps execute a specified command/bat files when a clip is played.

Sorry for all of the questions.&#160; Just kind of curious.

Just wanted to say what an amazing peice of software this is.

The possibility to trigger a ticker tape on top of an existing image, so that every time that a certain image or cell is clicked this will automatically trigger a ticker tape cell, this would be a lovley feature.

Also an option so that when you deselect a ticker tape cell it resets to the beginning of the list messages instead of just pausing them.
