We have to close out each powerpoint (click on the large X) each time and then open the next powerpoint. We are using version 3.5 but the same thing was happening with 3.0. Also our powerpoint is 2007 with Wndows XP. There is no log of the event because SM totally freezes and we have to use the task manager to close it. If we are doing something wrong let me know. We use SM for our VBS songs and it is a total bummer when this happens with a room full of kids. In tests, it seems that displaying just a song takes more CPU than displaying just a video, which surprises me. Task Manager shows nearly 100% CPU for a song; videos are 30-70%. The song shows over 20,000 page faults a second. Results seem the same for Standard or Fast rendered; with WPF the page faults drop to 100 or so, but CPU remains high (and I couldn't display videos). My current system is a 2.8GHz Celeron with XP SP3 and 3D Blaster FX 5200 with a single display (displaying either to the whole display or 50%). Earlier tests have been on more powerful machines with better graphics cards and a secondary monitor. Reformatted pc, reinstalled everything... however this time.. the image from the pincale capture card we´re using isnt possitioned correctly. The image is too low. I´m Guessing(???) that SM detects the fisrt part in the image and starts from there, I think its possible if found timecode at the top of an image and therefore has started from a false 'top'. I´ve tried uninstalling and re-installing but this doesn not seem to remove all the user files etc.. so re-installing returns me to the last state I had... where are they stored? And yes the capture card is working correctly in other led screen software, resolume and the pincale software. The new features are great, but now we have this problem where the videos pause randomly, showing a stop symbol in Screen Monkey. This happens with both MOVs and MP4 files. We rebuilt the same show in Screen Monkey 3.2 and all is working fine. Any ideas? No other software versions changed between the two setups, and we are using the latest Quicktime. The 3.3 problem persisted even with Quicktime uninstalled.
