Transparency / Layers functionality

Hi, I only recently installed it  - I enjoy the product and think you did quite a good job in developing it!  I was hoping though as I got toying with it that when I loaded a .png graphic with transparency etc in one layer and had something else in a lower layer (occupying the same 'screen space' though) that the transparency would be preserved, not the default background color of that same layer.  Basically I was hoping to have a video motion background onscreen with a graphic layer on top of it (again using a png which would provide transparency information for alpha keying etc).

Thanks!

Re: Transparency / Layers functionality
This facility is already in the next version and will do exactly what you want. The only catch is it will operate slightly differently depending on whether you have XP or Vista. With vista you will get full alpha transaprency with the transparent pixels in the PNG image being blended with the video. In XP only the fully transparent pixels will display video and you will not get alpha blending.

This may mean that in XP it will look like you have a pixelated line around the image.

Re: Transparency / Layers functionality

Thanks - glad to hear it!  Down the line do you think that the program will work with the XP OS in the same manner as with Vista - I'm sure it is easier to do with the Vista video programming architechure - but none the less having that same functionality in XP would be awesome.

ALSO - have you had many / any requests for a non-scrolling static text layover option?  I really appreciate that this program offers so much more flexibility in layout and positioning than 'traditional' lyric / worship display programs - however it is somewhat disappointing that it doesn't cover that base as well... but then again there are plenty of those programs already out there.  Just thought it would be nice to have everything (versatility from yours + easy lyrics as in so many others) in one application.

Thanks again for all your time and work in this application!
