Two things: Up until version 3.2 I have been able to use SM as a portable program.  The only complication is if the usb device is assigned a different letter sometimes a media file is not located.  Now version 3.3 will not play a video or audio file.  I have the event log from trying it if that will help.

Is it possible to make SM completely portable?  We have multiple worship leaders at our house of prayer that would need to set up a watch at home and bring it to execute at the house of prayer.  What is the possibility of offering a relative path structure option for file location?  If a "Screen Monkey Data" file is added to the program file and all xml files for shows (including the xml for the last show opened), songs, etc are routed there would that work?

Yes if you can send me the event log that would be great. I have a farily good idea what the problem is. The latest version allows for seemless looping of audio clips but to do this it needs to install a DirectX filter on the system. The filter must be registered with Windows using the admin account sso thiss can only be done during setup.

The only way I can think to allow it to be portable is to drop the seemless loop feature in the instance when it is portaable.

Could you possible send me the instructions to follow to install SM on a USB stick and make it portable. This will help me test.

I will look into making it fully portable with relative paths. The more info you can send me about how you use Screen Monkey in this way the better.

Maybe i could help with that if it's okay, there's a portable software platform called portable apps, they have a packager that might just work to make this portable. If it's okay with the owners maybe i could run it through the packager and upload that for others to use, and give you guys a link

If you are able to package it then I would be more than happy to include it on the website. Would be good if I could know the process to use on future versions.
