After the success of V3.5 I am looking at what features to include in the next version. If you have any ideas or suggestions then I would love to hear them.

There may be something you want changed or a task which could be made simpler. Whatever the idea please post it so I can consider it for the next version.

Support for video transparency using the Alpha channel information, so that you can lay video on top of video, example motion video titles in the lower third etc.

Thank you for all the work done so far.

Regards

Andrew

Hi there

I've been playing with my copy of the Monkey today and I have a few possible things. I'm sure I'll find more as I grow more familiar with the Simian. The more I play, the more power I discover!

So here goes:

On the Layers dashboard, have an option to fade all layers out or in simultaneously.

Add ability to Fade one Layer out and another Layer in simultaneously.

Add ability to choose Always on top from control menu of the Main Dashboard.

From Layers Dashboard, add an ability to right-click and edit Profile with the Display Profile Editor.

Add context Sensitive help (F1) (If you are looking for volunteers to work with the help system, I have nearly 20 years of experience with building help files. I'm also a Microsoft MVP for the Windows Help technology.)

Add ability to fade a clip out when clicking the X to stop playing it. (It seems this one may be more of a bug report than a feature request. I note that you have an option in the main settings that appears to be intended for this purpose. It's labeled "Use Effect on Clip Out" but it seems to have no effect I can find.)

Allow configuring Main Dashboard so that clicking the layer boxes presents only content assigned to the layer. For example, on the far right there are arrows pointing up or down that appear to allow changing the pages. So clicking L1 would present Page 1 and all elements on that page would be assigned to Layer 1. Clicking L2 would present Page 2 and all those elements would be assigned to Layer 2.

That's all I have at the moment. But I'm sure I'll be back.

Cheers... Rick

All good suggestions which I have added to the list. You are right that not being able to fade a clip out is a bug.

Soft edge would be cool, and really really useful. :)
