I really like the ability to manage the display process with ScreenMonkey, but I need to be able to remotely advance Powerpoint screens. I was unable to make the Logitech 2.4 ghz Presenter I normally use work with Screen Monkey. Do you have a suggestion or know of a device that will work? We are a small church and I control the advancement of the slides while directing music, but I need the ability to manage ad-hoc additions and changes to the presentation and your product is so cool.

I am afraid I do not know how this particular device works and so am unable to provide specific support for this product.

If it is like other presentation devices I have used then it simply acts as another mouse attached to your computer. If it is like this then it is a simple matter of assigning the keys to an action in Screen Monkey.

You need to open the settings window and select "Mouse and Keyboard". You will see a tree in which one of the items is "Dashboard" expand this branch by clicking on +. I am assuming you want to assign next and previous slide actions to your presentation controller. Hold down the button on the controller you wish  to be assigned  to  the next slide action. Then using the mouse double click on "Next Slide" under dashboard. Repeat this for previous slide. You will know whether Screen Monkey recognises your controller as it will show the key name in the toolbar at the top.

I hope you can get it to work!

Great! I got it to work. It took me a while to figure out how to assign the key to only the item I wanted, and then to turn the global flag to true, but then it worked.

I am having fun seperating out my powerpoint files to be more flexible in worship. It did take me a while to figure out how to make a ppt run automated according to the automation settings. I'm still not sure how I do it but if I mess with it enough it seems to start working and I am happy.

Yes you can set it so it will only accept key presses from the presenter device and not from other connected keyboards and mice. You can also change whether it has global effect of just when Screen Monkey is active. These are changed in the advanced setting when you click on the specific action like "Next Slide".

Great to know you got it working. Now I can tell others it works with the Logitec Presenter.

When you say you are having trouble getting Power Point to run with the automation settings do you mean the slide timings? I know of one problem where the slides will not transition automatically until you transition the first slide manually. This seems to be a bizarre problem with Power Point that I have not been able to overcome.
