ScreenMonkey does a great job of fading smoothly from one video to the next. It would be great if that ability could be extended to the case when it's fading to the same video. Sounds silly, doesn't it? :-) That would make it really easy to make a looping video background out of a video whose end is rather different from its start (the best looping videos are made to have near-identical start and end frames, but not all do).
If I just set a video's link to Loop, the Effect is not applied when looping - maybe that could be an option? Mostly I guess the existing Effect settings would work, but maybe it's better to allow a new setting of Loop Effect (or Link Effect?), off by default.
I thought I'd be able to mimic this by duplicating a video into two adjacent panels, so the normal Effect would be used to loop after the end of 1 to the start of 2, and then again after the end of 2 to the start of 1. Sadly this doesn't seem to work - there's no fade, and the first video remains highlighted with yellow and showing the Stop symbol. I guess trying to open two streams on the same file at different points isn't supported?
