I don't think this is a option but it would be a great one: 
It would be great to Right-click on a clip and near "Clear" and "Remove" on the menu to have "Shift" or something like it.  What does it do?  It shifts all of the clips over to make an empty square in which to insert a new clip.  This would be handy for organizing on the dashboard.  When I have a large show and realize that I want to add a picture right "there" in the show (and "there" happens to be in the middle of a complicated part) I have to switch to edit mode, move all of the clips that will follow the new one down a square and then I can put in my new clip.  "Shifting" the clips would speed up the process.  What do you think?
