First show with screen monkey
Thanks for a great  package!

I have just finished a run  of  a school  presentation  show  which  envolved  multiple  powerpoint/video  cues and sound.

We used  Sound Cue  system  (www.soundcuesystem.com)  to control  sound and send midi cues to three screenmonkey pc's with the content. Apart from some issues with me not knowing screen monkey, and loading times varying EVERYTHING WORKED!

Keep up the good work.

Re: First show with screen monkey

Impressive!

I use Sound cue System for my shows.

I've used SCS midi to control Lighting consoles, but to use it to control SM would be great.

Can you tell me how you controlled SM with Midi? Thanks

Re: First show with screen monkey
SM has midi built in, so all I did was assigned note on cues to each clip, in my case I had three sm pcs each on a different midi channel.

So the jpg/avi/ppt was loaded into a clip and set so it can be triggered with the appropriate function key.

Once this was correct, it was just a case of putting scs midi cues/subcues with note on commands which effectively "press" the function keys for you.

I used a package called ipmidi to transfer the midi data across ethernet, though standard midi interfaces and midi in to midi thru cables would have worked.

Shout if you want a copy of the show scs and or sm files.

Hope this helps.

@Robk: Darn, you beat me to it. :-)
Yes, I think the only thing really was PowerPoint hogging up all the memory, since some of the slideshows had loads of videos in.
