DirectX requirements

Hi,

I installed & ran the application on one computer - works great!  However after installing and running it on the computer which I really need it to work - the application fails to run and only displays the MS- error / send error report to microsoft dialog box.  From when I double click the icon / launch the application there is about 5 seconds with just the hour glass showing and then the error pops up.  When I run the dxdiag tool I noticed that although the system has DirectX ver.9.0c installed - the Direct3D component isn't available on any of the the displays.

Thanks for you assistance.

Re: DirectX requirements
The first thing to try is deleting the file "ScreenMonkeySettings.xml" this is located in the install folder which is normally "c:\Program Files\Screen Monkey".

If the software still wont start, go to Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Event Viewer and select the "Application" event log. You should see some events which relate to Screen Monkey. This is shown in the source column. You can click on them to give you more information in an xml format. If it is not obvious to you what the problem is then email me the xml and I will look into it for you.
