Running Powerpoint (2003) slides through SM to project on the secondary monitor had the slides sitting mostly offscreen. The layer that Powerpoint was on was working for images and powerpoint run by itself was able to display on the correct screen.

It looked as if the sldes were the correct size for the second screen but displaying on the first screen with the extra spilling onto the correct screen, except that there was nothing on the primary monitor (laptop screen).

When I tried using the 'Primary 50%' setting a similar thing happened with the bottom left corner of the slide showing in the top right of the SM live display area. Live monitor correctly shows what the slides look like.

Is your DPI set to 96, I have seen problems in the past where a non standard DPI can cause Power Point to miss-behave.

Hi,

I have had this problem before and found the answer in my case was that the screen resolution my computer was sending was conflicting withe the 'auto' feature on my monitor.

Try using different screen resoultions on your extended desktop to see if that helps?!

Thanks, I have checked that the DPI is set to 96 but have not had the same projector to connect to to check the screen resolution that the laptop auto-detected vs the actual resolution of the projector. Will get the machine and play with the resolution settings.

I am bumping this because I have the same or similar problem. I have tried every possible setting an resolution I could find and to date I always get offset slides when using powerpoint . I even tried PPT 2010 and the same results. I have save the slid shows in all available output formats from 640x480 to 1024x768. So far my only fix has been to save PPT slides as picture files and just load the picture as clips into SM. It works but not what I really want as it eliminates PPT as a slide clip.
