I am fairly new to Screen Monkey. I just downloaded the newest version. I am not sure of the exact version we are currently using, I downloaded it about a year ago. This is truly a God thing getting your email this morning. Our Pastor loves using video clips to make a point for his sermon, no problem. But last night I was given a CD that was made with Kodak software. You may know what I am talking about, but I think it is software that will loop though a directory of jpeg. The jpeg were pictures taken at children’s camp. It played great on the computer monitor, but I could not get it over to the second monitor. There were about 300 pictures. All this happened about 5 minutes before the service. I highlighted all the jpeg and they looked like they moved into the boxes. The only thing is I could not scroll down. I am not sure if there is a limited number of boxes, or I was not scrolling right. Bottom line, can you tell me the best way to have handled this on short notice?

One way you could handle this is actually with powerpoint. (You can use screen monkey to display ppt files, so it's not blasphemy to say that here!)

If you create a new slideshow, then click Insert > Picture > New Photo Album... (2003) or Insert > Illustrations > Photo Album (2007), you can import the photos from the Kodak CD, reorder them, put in text slides, set up the layout options, then click Create. All your photos will be in a powerpoint presentation, ready to go. From there, you can add transitions and timing as per usual.

I'm sure Oliver could create a plugin for screen monkey that handles folders of images (and I would probably use it if he did), and maybe there is a need for it, but for now, there's no point in reinventing the wheel.

thegink.

PS. Oliver, I do like v3.2 - If I get my way, we'll start using it at church.
