Is there a way to format a song so that some of the text is right justified and the other is centered ... or something like that?

I have a song that has an echo and I want to format it like so:

This is the male part.

_____(This is the female part.)

except that the underscore does not appear on the lyric slide.  Are there any characters that I could use that would be hidden by the projection screen that I could use to create spacing or do I do this another way.
