 Hello all,

Anyone want to take a crack at plug ins for firefox or chrome as the web browser?  Our house of prayer has a 64 bit Windows 7 computer that will not update for flash player in SM simplified Internet Explorer web browser.  Olie and I have communicated and there does not seem to be a fix at this time.  I also like firefox and chrome better anyway.

Just so that you know, I cannot get flash player to work with the web clip in Screen Monkey, not even Adobe Flash Player 10.

OK, I know that I am assuming here but how about this suggestion:

If SM uses a stripped down version of "iexplorer.exe" on my 64-bit Windows could my SM be adjusted to look for the file in a different folder?

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" is the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer that will not load Adobe Flash Player 10

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" is the 32-Bit version of Internet Explorer that will work with Adobe Flash Player.

Right now SM is using the default 64-bit version and nothing with flash will work.  Can SM simply look in a different place for that file and thus us the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer?  Help me understand here.

Sorry for a lack of response with this. I was stupid enough to think that Adobe might have actually fixed this problem by now and realease a 64Bit version of flash.

I am afraid it is not as simple as you suggest. The web browser is part of the 64Bit process and so it is not just a matter of linking to the 32bit version. I would need to release a special 32bit version of Screen Monkey for this to work and I dont want the support costs of this.

I think the best solution is what you suggested and to create a Google Chrome browser option. I will look into the complexities of this and get back to you.

Is seems that Adobe let Microsoft come up with a solution to its part of the problem but left the rest of the programing world "high and dry."  Thanks for checking into this.  By the way, great work on v. 3.4.  The layers and display profiles in the space clip are phenomenal.
