If I drop an FLV file onto ScreenMonkey 3.2, it will immediately start to play the audio.  The same thing happens if I load an MP4 file.  If I close ScreenMonkey, the audio will continue to play (and to stop it I have to close ScreenMonkey from the Task Manager Processes tab).  If I then restart ScreenMoneky, the audio will begin to play again.  What is happening?

I'm using VCP vice KLite.

Thanks,

When you first add the clip or start Screen Monkey the software tells the codec to play the video with zero volume  to generate the thumbnails. This can be disabled by turning off the "Generate thumbnails for clips" option". The reason the clip continues to play is that the codec is not correctly responding to the control.

Just done some testing and this would appear to be a problem. Setting the user setting does not fix it either. Will work on this.

I have discovered that this was a mistake with the installer where it was installing slightly the wrong version of a particular file. I have updated the installer so you will need to download and install the software again. Let me know how you get on.

The new package is working fine!

Using Vista 64 bit core 2 quad.  I didn't mention this in the above post because the problem also occured on a 32 bit XP AMD X2 computer.

Thanks
