Videos do not load at start up
I am using Screen Monkey to load about 12 video files from the Hard Drive D: Drive. Some of the video cues will load either at or in a couple of seconds after the start-up. Some will never load up we get the loading animation, and I have to place a 'colour' cue there to clear the video cue and then reload the cue.

The video system is an AMD 4400 Dual core with 4 gigs RAM, and ATA133 Hard Drives with Win XP Pro OS.

Any suggestions?

I have reloaded the show in SM and will leave the computer on overnight so the Choir Director and kids can practice with the show.

If the only clip you have in Screen Monkey is one of the clips that will not load, do they still not load? I am trying to determine whether this is a problem with the actual clip or with the fact that it is trying to load 12 clips at once.

I am looking at a problem where loading multiple clips at once can cause problems but it normally just generates blank thumbnails and still loads. In the next version I will have a feature to disable thumbnail generation as it can cause clips to be slow at loading. I also have made it more intelligent so it does not need to re-generate the thumbnails every time the software loads.

It is so encouraging to hear how much you like the software.

I am aware of what has been happening with Sunday Plus. I am aslightly confused as to why they are ploughing all there efforts into free software and neglecting the money maker. I do not think though that my current employer (Avolites) would take too kindly to me working for Grass Roots.

I do not know if this will make any difference or not, but when I start up and not run anything else but start up Screen Monkey, the clips appear to load fine.

But, if I have run something else, even if I have closed everything else, it seems to lock up the program.

Hope this helps with a clue to what is going on.

I really wished you worked for EDS, Alabama Medicaid. They put in a new 'and improved' program February 22, 2008. All the program has done is mess up, more and more everyday. I got someone in tech help finally admit that it was not ready, yet.
