Hi

Everytime I try and play a clip from a DVD, Screen Monkey crashes.
I've installed .NET Framework 3 and the Standard K-Lite Codec Pack.

Any ideas?!?!

Thanks in advance!

Hi, I experience the same problems. I tested it whit Vista SP1 and XP SP3 and the lastest screenmonkey 3.1 and plugins installed. I've never had any problems before. Therefore I think that some Microsoft update is givin' this mess. Screenmonkey only crashes when it displays at a secondary monitor. Testing it on the primary monitor at 50% works fine and without a problem.
Under Vista this is where it goes wrong:

Oliver, can you look into it? Do we need a different driver of the graphics card or a different .net Framework version or do you have to modify ScreenMoneky?
Greetz,
Theo

Greetz,

**update** I installed .net framework 3.5 (latest) and latest available videodriver for the NVIDIA Geforce 8600M GT. This didn't work, so my hopes are on you, Oliver. Hope you can help?

Have you tried running it in overlay mode rather than VMR. Some graphics cards, do not like VMR on the second output.

Hi Oliver,
I have to test it to adjust the dvd settings. I get back to this forum to let you know.
I'm curious what is determining the option: "Select the best DVD Decoder automatically". How will it select which one is the best? What are it's prime parameters to judge about the several decoders that are available?
I will do some testing whit several of this options as well if that can solve the problem as well.
By for now...
Greetz Theo
